MARK S. ASHWORTH:

Born Provo, Utah, April 20, 1951; admitted to bar, 1978, California; admitted to United States District Court, Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts; admitted to United States District Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Education: Brigham Young University (Bachelor of Science, 1972); Western State College of Law, Fullerton (JD, 1978). 

Member: Superior Court ADR Panel, 1987 - present. Court panel mediator for the Superior Court, 1992 – 2017.  Orange County Bar Association; Los Angeles County Bar Association; State Bar of California (Litigation Section). Litigation Experience: Mr. Ashworth has tried over 75 jury trials to verdict and over 300 bench trials throughout the entire State of California. Additionally, he has litigated over 200 arbitrations through binding arbitration. He is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. His trial experience is an asset in mediation: he can clearly explain what the trial experience is about versus the mediation experience. This is fundamentally important to most client attorneys and their party litigants...so that they understand that they can control the resolution process, which is the same control they lose during the trial process.
